Welcome valued customer, you have stumbled upon a rare video-graphic gem. Emily Enough, the game of which you will soon
play, offers today's demanding gamer the opportunity to not only point using a "cursor", but also the opportunity to click
using a "mouse". It's the touching story of a misguided heiress, and her decent into the corporate underworld of an upstate
New York asylum. Peruse the product, read, laugh, enjoy. It's all there for the taking, and I implore you...take!

* GETTING STARTED *
*******************

-All you need to do is extract the files using winzip or winrar, and click on the EmilyEnough.exe icon.
 You may need to run winsetup.exe to change certain settings.

-Make sure to extract all files into the same directory, otherwise you won't hear the music.

* LET'S PLAY! *
***************

-Emily Enough is a "point & click" graphic adventure game similar to the Sierra and Lucas Arts masterpieces of the early to
 mid-90s. If you have never played The Secret of Monkey Island, Loom or King's Quest 3 then damnit, stop playing this game and illegally
 download those games. They were the product of an earlier age, an age that has since been forgotten by all save for a few,
 girlfriend-less and socially awkward twenty-somethings.

-Gameplay is simple enough. Use your weapon to explode your enemies. Be sure to find the gattling gun. It's on level four,
 behind the Iron Cross tapestry.

-No, seriously, this is a graphic adventure. There may be killing involved, but the narrative is what's most important. You
 control a character, in this case Emily, and manipulate her using various interactive icons. You can look at various objects
 and people using the eye-ball icon, you can talk to other characters using the mouth icon, you can "do" things using the hand
 icon, you can walk using the feet icon. Shuffle through these choices by right clicking on your mouse. Talk to other
 other characters, explore the hospital, follow the story-line, solve a few puzzles, that's all there is to it.

-Keep an eye on the status line at the bottom of the screen. It will tell you if your cursor is over something important.

-Left-clicking on your "mouse" will skip text. Pressing Esc will allow you to skip certain cutscenes.

-Save, restore, and quit by bringing the cursor up to the top of the screen. Go to the Save filing cabinet to save, the Load cabinet to
 load, and the door icon to quit.

* TROUBLESHOOTING *
*******************

-Make sure your computer is on.

-You may have to change your computer's resolution for the game to play properly. To do this, right click on your desktop,
 click on properties, click the Settings tab, and lower the resolution. It's just that simple!

-If you have any serious problems, email me at emilyenough@gmail.com

-If for some odd reason you encounter an error message, write the message down and send me an email. Or, if you just want
 to chat, talk about Star Trek 4, or maybe discuss your most recent crush, send me an email with the subject heading,
 "Emily Enough: Let's Waste Time".

* HINTS *
*********

-Puzzles shouldn't be that hard, but if you get stuck, just make sure you've talked to everyone and thoroughly explored the
 asylum. Don't go nuts picking up every object possible, you wouldn't do that in real life so don't think you can do it in
 this game.

-If you're really stuck and lazy, go to the AGS forums for a hint: http://www.bigbluecup.com/yabb/

* GAME INFORMATION *
********************

Emily Enough was created with Adventure Game Studio (AGS), a brilliant game engine created by Chris Jones. If you are interested in
making a similar adventure game, visit the AGS website at www.bigbluecup.com. I completed the story, graphics, music and programming
over the course of a year and a half while in Berlin, Germany; New York City; Stamford, Connecticut; Washington, DC; Cedar Rapids, Iowa;
San Francisco, CA; Phoenix, AZ; Findlay, OH; countless airports and the "great" state of Texas.

**********
* THANKS *
**********

-Chris Jones, for creating Adventure Game Studio. Also, a big thanks
 to the wonderful AGS community, who have imparted an incredible amount of knowledge to this often dim-witted man-child.

-My awesome Betatesters: Steve McCrea, Petteri and Totoro. Your help really helped me polish this game.

-Ken Partridge, for having co-authored the stunning Depeche Mode meets Spaghetti Western soundtrack.

-The entire AGS community, especially those who frequent the beginner's technical forum. I never would have finished without you!

*************
* NO THANKS *
*************

-The majority of my friends who thought it was a stupid idea to make "a video game". You can all go to hell.

HAVE FUN and thank you for taking the time to download Emily Enough, and for reading this drivel.

Sincerely,
